Kill The Setter Passing Drill. One setter, shared by both teams, going back and forth as ball crosses the net. Toss one team a free ball, setter runs a play, but instead of hitting away, the 3rd player tips the ball deep, allowing a free ball for the other team. The setter then ducks under the net and runs a play going the other way.

Coach tosses ball to setter. 2. Setter sets to one of the three hitters. 3. Hitter approaches and attacks ball aggressively. 4. If the hitter puts the ball away (kill) they stay on the attacking side and get one point. 5. If the hitter does not put the ball away, they rotate off and onto the back row of the defensive side.
One point is scored for each target hit. The middle hitter will rotate out and the next hitter steps in. The drill should be fast paced with very little time between balls.
