About
Mahipal Lomror, a spin bowling all-rounder from Rajasthan, gained recognition through his performances in India's Under-19 team. He had a decent season with the bat in the 2021 edition of the IPL, where his 17-ball 43 stood out as a highlight. During the 2022 Mega Auction, Lomror was picked up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for INR 95 lakhs. Having played for his state side in the junior domestic circuit, Lomror received an opportunity to showcase his skills on a larger platform when he was selected for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016 in Bangladesh. He was initially bought by the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) ahead of the ninth season of the IPL before later moving to the Rajasthan Royals. Although he featured in only five games across IPL 2019 and IPL 2020, the Rajasthan Royals retained the young talent for the IPL 2021 season. Lomror's potential and abilities as a spin bowling all-rounder make him a valuable addition to the RCB squad for the upcoming season.
