About
Karn Sharma, the spin bowling all-rounder, was indeed bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the 2022 IPL Mega Auction for his base price of INR 50 lakhs. Karn Sharma has had his fair share of ups and downs in the IPL throughout his career. He made his IPL debut in 2013, representing the Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he picked up 11 wickets in his first season. He had a notable performance in 2014, finishing as the second highest-wicket taker with 15 wickets. He continued to have a decent run in the following season, 2015. In 2016 and 2017, Karn Sharma was part of the title-winning teams, first with Sunrisers Hyderabad and then with the Mumbai Indians. During his stint with the Mumbai Indians, he recorded 13 wickets in the 2017 season. However, he was later released into the auction pool. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) acquired Karn Sharma in search of an Indian leg-spinner, but he did not find a regular place in the side. Eventually, in 2022, Karn Sharma joined the RCB and is now ready to don the RCB jersey and Play Bold in the upcoming IPL season.
