Harshal Patel, the Indian pacer, indeed fetched a significant amount of ₹10.75 crore in the IPL Mega Auction as the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bought him back for the upcoming season. Harshal Patel, also known as Purple Patel, had a remarkable performance in the 2021 edition of the IPL, where he won the Purple Cap for taking the most wickets in the tournament, with 32 wickets to his name.During the auction, there was reportedly an intense bidding war between RCB and the Sunrisers Hyderabad for Harshal Patel's services. Eventually, the RCB emerged victorious and secured his signature. Prior to IPL 2021, Harshal Patel had returned to RCB after being traded from the Delhi Capitals.Harshal Patel made his debut appearance in the IPL in 2012 and has had a career that involved stints with multiple franchises. After spending the majority of his IPL career with RCB, he moved to the Delhi Capitals in 2018. During the 2019-20 domestic season, Patel delivered impressive all-round performances, leading to his retention by the Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2020.Considering his outstanding performance in the 2021 season, it was fitting for RCB to show interest in bringing him back to the team, and they succeeded in doing so. Harshal Patel will once again represent the RCB and is all set to Play Bold in the upcoming IPL season.
