Chennai Super King
Shivam Dube, a middle-order batter and medium-pacer, was purchased by CSK for INR 4 crore at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Despite starting at a base price of 50 lakhs, Dube's impressive all-round abilities generated substantial interest in the auction, resulting in a final bid of INR 4 crore for his services. The Mumbai-native has made a name for himself with his gritty batting and bowling performances. Dube played junior cricket for his state before advancing to the Mumbai senior team. He debuted in Twenty20 cricket for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2016 and one year later made his one-day debut for the state team. Ahead of IPL 2019, Dube made headlines by smashing five sixes in five balls against Baroda in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy match. As a result, he was heavily pursued at the auction and was eventually signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 5 crore. After playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2019 and IPL 2020, Dube was signed by Rajasthan Royals for INR 4.40 crore. The Indian all-rounder is renowned for his clean hitting and can also be effective with his medium-pace bowling. With 24 IPL appearances under his belt, Dube will be eager to excel for the Chennai-based franchise in IPL 2022.
